Pick yourself up, dust yourself down
08-02-2010I have had a pretty tough few days, without going into the specifics its not been particularly easy for me or others around me.
One piece of advice I have for any one in tough situations, be it with family, with friends, with work, or just a general low feeling, it always helps that when things head towards rock bottom, to have good people around you, or good people an email or telephone call away, people you can talk to. People you can even just sit with and say nothing, but at least not feel alone.
I am lucky that way.
There is nothing worse than simply bottling things up and trying to deal with it all by yourself, no matter how strong a person you are, knock after knock, something will start to take its toll and it's always better to let those that care about you, help take some of the weight.
It is these very people that make it easier to pick yourself up, check for any broken hearts, damaged pride, or dinted faith, dust yourself down and carry on. After all, lets not forget, there is only one way after rock bottom, and that my friends, is up.
