27-02-2010So I have moved. Got my very own webpage set up and running thanks to some excellent technical advice from my other half.
Not that there was anything really wrong with the other site, this one just means I have it set up in a way that is much easier for me to manage. So while it has the same look as my old one, it works slightly differently, plus I was able to get rid of all the other bits that I didn't really like but were a prerequisite on wordpress.
Apologies in advance if there are any hiccups along the way, but to have a live webpage in just two days is something else, so a few minor problems are expected and so a little bit of tinkering is to be expected to get everything on the straight and narrow. Practise makes perfect and all that jazz.
I must actually take a few minutes, or indeed lines, in this case to thank the other half for putting it together for me, much appreciated.
In other news work has, as always it seems the last few months, been unbelievably hectic.
The little bro is also down visiting this weekend, checking out the new apartment, hitting a concert and generally eating me out of house and home. Plan tomorrow is to actually take him in to see a bit of Dublin before he goes home. Show him all the 'main spots' you know, Grafton street, the ha'penny bridge, the erection at the intersection, Croker and of course Temple Bar in all its post Friday night glory.
So a busy weekend ahead as usual. In the meantime have a good nosy in round my new home in cyber space.
