Hey, this is the archive section. Pick a year, pick a month, have a nosey.

I don't like it. It just doesn’t have a nice ring to it or roll of the tongue the same simple gorgeous way that Allons y did.

That's it. That is all I can muster up.

I can find no fault with the new doctor. He has managed the transition well, still carrying some of the swagger of David Tennant but the excitement and energy of someone new. There were plenty of laughs and although it wasn’t as dramatic as some episodes I have seen that has nothing to do with Matt Smiths acting and more to do with the writing.

It seemed to remind me of something I had seen before, aliens seek out a fugitive hiding on earth, it was all very familiar.

You might remember it from a previous Dr Who.

The one where the hospital is kidnapped and taken to the moon. The episode were we meet Martha Jones.

Bit of a rehash of that episode. Poor form on the writers part. But as for Matt Smith, I cannot fault him. Yes he is young, and yet he appears much older than his years, a nice touch to the time lord.

In other news it was a busy Easter weekend, home to catch up with lots of people, a night club reunion and the news that Gordon Brown has called a general election. Brave, bold and possibly really stupid move.

He feels the current parliament is not serving its function and so it had to be dissolved. This coming from the man in charge of said parliament. I am not saying I am a huge Browne fan but I admire his candor, calling a general election in what is the closest positioning of the two main parties in the UK in a long long while.

Pity we couldn’t get the Irish government to follow suit. The current setting is not working, scrap it, bow down and start again.
