Haha Hehe HoHo and some congratulations

So some of you may already know this and some of you may not, but the other half recently entered a comedy competition with Comedy Dublin a few weeks back. He had his first heat in April and sailed through to the quarter finals. During the week, after many a sleepless night, midnight practises and nail biting nervousness (all on my part not his) the quarter finals arrived.

So on Tuesday night off we sauntered to the pub, settled into our seats and ordered some Dutch courage (again on my part, not his). He was on 3rd, smack bang in the middle, at least he wasn't first (more for his benefit - going first I always imagine would be tough), and at least he wasn't last (more for my benefit, he never gets nervous; I seem to get doubly nervous for the both of us).

He was great, better than great, fantastic, the nerves I had were all for nothing (selfish git that he is ). He seemed so at ease and so animated, the laughs came at all the right points, the judges loved him and told him it was his best performance yet and he sailed through, onto the semis now. I don't think my nails can take it

It was a completely new set of jokes compared anything he has done before and I will admit I was his muse for some of it (anyone who has seen the set will know exactly what I am talking about - but I would just like to take this opportunity to clarify I may be a bed hogger but trust me when I say he is a blanket whore!) He is working on putting together a video of the entire thing so if you fancy having a gander at it sometime check out Blue Jester, it's not up yet so maybe give the poor fella a few days to recover from his winning high
