Ga Ga Oh La La
03-11-2010On Monday night I made the trip home to the land of the north to see Lady GaGa play in Belfast. A had got a ticket as a very nice birthday present from one of my friends and plans were made and days of work were booked.
Now I am a fan of her music although some of her crazy antics are more than a little difficult to swallow so i wasn't too sure what to expect. We had great seats and a perfect view and so were sure not to miss any of the shenanigans. She didnt disappoint. Yes she was as mad as a hatter and completely bat shit crazy but none the less no one could doubt just how well she can sing. Every song was live and she made sure that every single person in the audience knew it. Sure she plays on the insecurities of people in the audience and sure she plays on the media circus that is currently focusing on issues such as bullying etc but she is good at what she does - getting people on her side, making them feel whatever they are going through she has been there, done that and come out the other end a stronger person. Whether or not it is true or not who knows, but if it makes some young kid feel better about themselves then what is the harm.
Her music, singing, dancing and ability to put on a show I cannot fault.
In other news, I get the last of my wisdom teeth out tomorrow. Pure dreading it but at least I have the sedation to look forward to
