Wedding Season
10-06-2011It has well and truly arrived. Himself and myself have a jam packed few weeks. Since around the middle of May our weekends have been going something like this: Hen Party, Stag Party, Hen Party, Wedding, Stag Party, Hen Party, Stag Party, Wedding, Wedding and we don't get a break until July 17th. That's right folks wedding season has arrived. Not that I am complaining, in terms of weddings I love a good excuse to get all dressed up and as for hen parties I love a good excuse for a good oul fashion knees up.
The first wedding was last weekend, in Barberstown Castle and it was quite simply, amazing. Everything was fantastic, from the bride looking stunning and the groom looking dashing to the superb dinner and venue, not to mention the endless dancing into the wee hours of the morning. You could not fault it.
The sun even made a glorious rare appearance for them.
Unfortunately I wore a long red dress which, thanks to the unexpected bout of sunshine and scorching weather, I had to change out of by the time the dancing started. I was just too warm. So given the choice of sitting pretty in my nice swit swoo dress, or changing into something more casual in order to be able to boogy, it wasn't really a tough choice in the end. The little summer dress I had for the next day was cool enough so I could boogy long into the night without fear of passing out from the heat.
The couple looking deliriously happy and for two lovely people you couldn't have wished for a more perfect day.
Tonight we have drinks for a leaving party and tomorrow night himself has a stag and I have a pyjama night planned with some chick flicks and as much chocolate as I can eat.
If you don't hear from me next week it is due to the fact that I have entered some chocolate induced coma
