Hollerdaz are coming
09-09-2011The countdown is officially on until my holiday on Monday!! Believe me when I say it cannot come quick enough.
I have been so busy in work lately I haven't had two seconds to sit back in revel in that lovely feeling that I have a holiday coming up so it seems to have crept up out of the blue and I have nothing sorted. That wouldn't be so bad even I wasn't working what is likely to be two 12 hour days this weekend with a 5am start on Sunday. Still I am on holidays for a week after that so I shouldn't really be complaining.
Heading off for a lovely break in Venice in Italy and I hope the sun joins us as I feel like I have been cheated out of a summer this year thanks to the lovely Irish weather (the defiant and possibly stubborn woman that I am, I am wearing a sundress today, albeit with tights, in an effort to get the last few dying days out of my 'summer' wardrobe).
Himself has already been to Venice but it is a whole new experience for me. It ranks pretty high on my list of places I have always wanted to visit so I am pretty psyched that I am finally getting round to it. I treated myself to some travel books online and so sometime this weekend I am going to get flicking through them to tot up a list of 'must do' things while we are there.
Of course it will be even better visiting one of the most romantic cities in the world with himself, I just hope I am not too zonked from my manic working weekend!
